Take a Flower to Childcare Day
Since 2008, KIDS COUNT has organized an annual, statewide celebration of the work of childcare providers called Take a Flower to Childcare Day. This year's celebration will take place Friday, May 10, 2013.
Taking part in Take a Flower to Childcare Day is so easy. On Friday, May 10, 2013, join the thousands of other parents, young children and community leaders who rely on great childcare and present a flower – any kind of flower will do -- to your favorite childcare providers.
If you would like to plan an event in your own community KIDS COUNT provides a free Take A Flower to Childcare Day celebration toolkit (see the list of tools and links to download them below). Your do-it-yourself celebration toolkit includes a downloadable logo, poster, press release, and an extensive list of creative flower ideas. It’s everything you’ll need – except the flowers – to make your local event a success.
